Built to Grow

We're looking for players who bring effort, energy, and a willingness to learn. Talent matters, but what sets a Haymaker apart is coachability, a love for the game, and the drive to get better every time they step on the field. If your player wants to compete, improve, and be part of a team that picks each other up, they'll fit right in.

What It Costs

Real Development, Real Value

$300
Uniforms + Registration

For $300, your player gets their uniform and registration for the Spring or Fall season. Returning players pay less each year if they keep their uniform. Tournaments would be an optional extra we haven't committed to yet.

We believe in keeping youth baseball accessible. Where other programs charge $1,000 and up, we want to provide access to coaching, fundamentals, and development that rec ball just can't match without breaking the bank. Growth your kid can feel, at a price that makes sense.

At Tryouts

What to Expect

Tryouts are focused on each player's ability to learn and compete. Coaches will evaluate all players across four areas.

Hitting

Tee work and live pitches to evaluate swing mechanics, timing, and hand-eye coordination.

🧤

Fielding

Ground balls and fly balls to see footwork, range, and glove skills.

💪

Throwing

Arm strength and accuracy evaluated through partner throws and long toss.

🏃

Baserunning

Straight line speed and instincts evaluated through base-to-base runs.

Pitcher & Catcher Experience Welcome. If your player has experience pitching or catching, please note it on the registration form. It's not required — but we're actively developing these positions and would love to know.

Tryouts: Monday, July 13 · 7:00 PM

Tryouts will be held Monday, July 13 at 7:00 PM at the Lawrence Youth Sports Complex (4911 W 27th St, Lawrence, KS 66047). Field assignment to be announced — register below and we'll send the details directly.

Fall Season Note: Fall season participation in DCABA is still to be determined based on other teams' registration. Either way, we'll continue to hold competitive practices and scrimmages.
